Lipstick, make-up, skincare and perfume all have one thing in common, they are designed to be visually appealing.  Be it the packaging or the product content itself.  This allure necessitates construction from different materials which complicates the photography situation as everything is behaving to studio lights differently, causing reflections. 

Tim Salix has developed techniques and has specialised equipment to specifically tackle such obstacles.  The majority of cosmetics are made from some pigments that under studio lighting shift in colour, as can labelling.  Tim uses a calibrated professional monitor so he is can, in post-production, restore cosmetics and packaging back to their original colours.
